Welcome Council members!
At our Annual General Meeting on Thursday 16th May, 2024 the members unanimously adopted the resolutions to elect 3 new members of council and to re-elect the council members who are still in-term. (See the previous post for a list of names).
The photo shows out-going treasurer David Chamberlain handing over the Bot Soc’s piggy bank to Sim Tang who will be our new treasurer. We are enormously grateful to David for having served as treasurer for 25 years and leaving us in a healthy financial position. Sim has been in training with David for the role for some months and we are grateful to her for taking on this most crucial of voluntary roles for the society.
The lecture series has now ended for the summer and our programme of field meetings begins on Saturday 18th May. Members will find details in the programme mailed with the most recent edition of BSS News. It can also be downloaded from the Events page of this website.
