Urban Shore Walk – Seaboard Villages, Easter Ross
THURSDAY 11th JULY 2024 10.30am
Leader: Brian Ballinger jointly with Inverness Botany Group
We will be recording plants for the Urban Flora Project of the Botanical Society of Scotland and also for the database of the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland. We will also be appreciating the wild plants and other wild life as well as the views over the Firth.
We will walk on the coastal path, mainly but probably not entirely, in the built-up area. This is level but has suffered some storm damage in places recently. We should see an interesting array of native and alien (Neophyte) species.
We will meet in the car park of the Seaboard Centre NH868759 at 10:30am and aim to finish by mid-afternoon. Please let Brian Ballinger know if you are planning to come and a mobile phone number would be useful in case of any issues arise. There are public toilets by the Balintore Harbour and a café at the Seaboard Centre.
