What grows at Lesmahagow?
Wednesday 14th August 2024. Meet at 11 am Leaders: Michael Philip and John Grace. Lesmahagow is a small town in the historic county of Lanarkshire on the edge of moorland, near Lanark in the central belt of Scotland. Records from this under-recorded area will feed into the Urban Flora and the BSBI data base. The terrain will include road, paths, rough ground, and wet areas. We plan to spend all day, so bring a packed lunch. Meet 11 am at Abbeygreen carpark, ML11 0EQ. Car Park is on the left (as you approach from the north) just before Bank of Scotland where the large blue P sign is signalling drivers to car park and Glebe medical centre, not the other car park further up the road at Langdykeside (rougher car park and car tyre supplier). Grid Ref NS 814400.
